I
was born at the foothills of the Andes Mountains,
in Mendoza, Argentina. I’m a composer and musician
of multiple instruments. I studied music from the age of
five. Having Lucrecia Dublanc as my teacher left a big impression
in my musical formation.
At sixteen I formed a band (Altablanca) that played original
songs with a wide range of styles, from contemporary tango
to progressive rock. Altablanca recorded two albums.
I went to Paris in the seventies to play and to study piano
and composition, with Lucy Galperin, a great professor to
me.
Buenos Aires, 1983. I recorded my first solo album, Adolescencia,
with Lito Vitale as my sound engineer. In those days I frequently
played with Geniol in the legendary Einstein, sharing the
stage with Sumo, Soda Stereo and other bands that would
go on to mark the future of Argentinean music.
As producer, pianist and composer, I formed part of Alcohol
Etilico, band with which I dove into the world of singles.
In 1985, searching for greater musical knowledge, I moved
to Boston to study Film Scoring in Berklee College of Music.
There I met my wife, Tiffany Crawford, English vocalist,
that would interpret my songs and co-write material with
a Latin jazz feel.

It was the days of Pat Metheny and Boston was a centre
for avant-garde. We shared the spot light with great musicians
such as Diego Urcola, Luciana Souza, George Valiente,
amongst others.
I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1989, and
we moved to London, where through an audition I became
part of Fast Freddie’s Fingertips, with Dave Robinson
(Stiff Records). Three years of touring England playing
soul music followed. The Evening Standard named us one
of the best live acts in the UK.
A new (and current) stage starts when I met Deuan German,
guitarist of Maroon Town, in the Delancey Café
in London. Maroon Town opened the doors for my compositions
with no stylistic boundaries. That’s how I mixed
styles such as cumbia with rap, without fear, like with
Cumbia infernal, that became a hit in Barcelona.
In 1995 I became Joan Armatrading´s keyboard player,
living in airports for two years and gaining a lot of
musical experience from this excellent guitarist and songwriter.
1998, Mendoza, Argentina. The desire to come back to South
America becomes reality. We moved to the foothills of
the Andes Mountains, where I built a studio, produce and
compose for personal projects and for record companies,
film and television producers.
